How do I uninstall OpenOffice.org?

Windows

On windows you should be able to uninstall by using the usual Add/Remove program in the Windows Control Panel. If this is not available then you can use the setup.exe program found in the OpenOffice.org folder and select the "Remove" option.

However if you are removing OpenOffice.org because when you now try to open .doc files OpenOffice.org is used instead of MSWord, then you should really look at the FAQ for "File associations" as that explains how to reassociate .doc files with MSWord again.

Linux

You can either use the standard RPM mechanism to remove/upgrade or you should be able to remove the /opt/OpenOffice.org directory completely.
